Alfred Joseph (A.J.) Westerheide started Westerheide Construction in
1952 and was primarily building and remodeling
homes. By 1960 he was building an average of 8 to 10 homes a year.

A.J.'s son Thomas (Tom) Westerheide began working for the company in
1970 after graduating from the University of Dayton in 1969. He learned
the business from the ground up and became the owner and president
in 1972.

In 1974 Westerheide Construction became a corporation and
assumed the
name Westerheide Developers Incorporated. WDI has excelled in custom homes and light commercial
construction and has earned a reputation for quality, service and
reliability.

Tom's son Jay Westerheide began working for the company in 1997 after
graduating from the University of Dayton in 1996. Jay is currently serving as
vice-president and project manager to ensure growth, quality
and the longevity of the company
